I Amit Zodge passed master of chemical science from university of Pune India in 2010.After post-graduation I worked with national chemical laboratory Pune, India as research fellow for 2 years on catalytic depolymerization of biomass in supercritical water. I Joined the PhD student Position at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary on topic Enantioselective diastereomeric salt crystallization with supercritical CO2” under the supervision of Prof. Edit Szekely.


Enantioselective diastereomeric salt crystallization using supercritical CO2.
Effective enantiomeric separation and purity of individual form using environmentally benign solvent is a topic of great interest for pharmaceuticals and food industry due to the different biological activity of individual enantiomer. Even today chiral resolution is performed using conventional solvents and reagents. Use of high pressure and environmentally benign solvent such as supercritical cabondioxide attracts the attention of researcher's across the globe. Hence we initiated the research on diastereomeric salt formation of racemates in supercritical carbon dioxide using enantiopure resolving agent. The resolutions were realized via partial diastereomeric salt or complex (co-crystal) Formations between the racemates and the chiral selectors. Optically active racemates and subsequent products possess significantly different solubility in the supercritical solvent, the separations of enriched enantiomeric mixtures and diastereomeric compounds were carried out by a simultaneous extraction of the unreacted enantiomers with supercritical carbon dioxide.
